Lead Alliance Presents Drambuie Den 2009

Lead Alliance Media Group is proud to announce Drambuie Den is coming to Denver again on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Drambuie Den is a two day celebration with complimentary cocktails, a bartender showcase, at two of Denver’s hottest venues.

Monday, 9/28 from 7-10pm at Delaney’s Bar | 10 bartenders to compete against each other; guests vote on their one favorite with a chip they’re given when they walk in – one of the 7 winners from all Den markets will be selected by committee to be flown to the 2010 Tales of the Cocktail as a grand prize. The night will be dominated by a face off between 10 of Denver’s top bartenders. Guests will each be given a brass chip when they arrive and they’ll have to cast their votes with their chip for the bartender/cocktail they like best. Throughout the night guests will receive free Drambuie Fizzes at the main bar. Guests can also take a touchscreen survey to figure out the Drambuie cocktail that best suits them – everyone who takes the survey wins a special prize! Drambuie (pronounced /dræm?bju?i/ or /dræm?bu?i/) is a honey- and herb-flavored golden scotch whiskey liqueur made from aged malt whiskey, heather honey and a secret blend of herbs and spices. The flavor suggests saffron, honey, anise, nutmeg and herbs.

It is produced in Broxburn, West Lothian, Scotland, and can be served straight-up, on ice, or used as an ingredient in a mixed drink, such as the Rusty Nail cocktail. It can also be served as a Flaming Drambuie. The alcoholic content of this liqueur is 40% (80° proof).
